A Beautiful Altar for Dia de Muertos – Day of the Death
Our students designed and placed a beautiful altar full of color and meaning. At our Foundation, we recognize the importance of honoring culture, lovingly remembering our loved ones who are no longer with us and sharing the traditions that unite us as a community.
The Day of the Dead is one of the most important celebrations in Mexico. This tradition teaches us that death is not the end, but an opportunity to keep alive in our memory those we love, celebrating their life and legacy. Each element of the altar has a special meaning:
Cempasúchil: The flower that guides souls with its color and aroma.
Candles: To illuminate the path of loved ones to the world of the living.
Bread and food: To welcome souls with joy on their return.
Water: To quench the thirst after a long journey.
Personal Items and Music: To evoke memories and shared joys.
We are proud to keep these traditions alive, to honor our culture, and to share this altar with our community. Thank you to our students for their dedication and creativity!
