La Cima IAP, the Gibson Soto Foundation facility in Mexico, is a place full of warmth that helped me continue pursuing my goal of completing my bachelor’s degree in Occupational Psychology.
During my time at La Cima IAP, I met incredible individuals who earned a place in my heart and whom I will undoubtedly always remember. I hope I left something beautiful in their lives. I would love for them, through my example, to see that with effort and perseverance, it is possible to achieve our goals and dreams. They, like me, carry enormous dreams that deserve to come true.
From the first day, the welcome was very pleasant. The support I received was unlike anything I had experienced before; everyone took the time to ask how I was feeling, to listen, and to act accordingly. I understood that everyone has their own unique journey and that our stories shouldn’t be compared. Looking back, my life before arriving at La Cima IAP was very routine. I didn’t give myself much space for personal growth or connections with others. For a long time, I doubted whether the path I was on was the only way to achieve my dreams. Now, I know that when you dare to let go and embrace change, everything begins to transform. What once seemed dark and formless began to take on light and color with my arrival at La Cima IAP.
La Cima IAP came into my life at the perfect time: it helped me finish my degree and take the next step toward working in the field I love. Today, I can say that I am a more mature, empathetic, responsible person, and I am aware of the impact I can have on others.
I hope my time at La Cima IAP has left a mark; I hope it serves as a reminder to those who come after me that it is possible to fight for what we are passionate about.
Thank you, La Cima IAP, for your beautiful mission to support young people like me in continuing their studies and striving for a better future. Thank you for believing in me, for encouraging me to be better, and for training me to be an agent of change. Thank you for every workshop, every talk, every scholarship, and every bit of transportation support. Above all, thank you for making me feel at home and for giving me a place in your facilities.
I am infinitely grateful for the wonderful people I met, for the friendships I made, for the lessons I learned, and for the moments I will always carry with me. Today, I can confidently say that I am a more mature, aware, empathetic, and confident individual. I also understand that my commitment now is to return the favor and give back some of what I have received.
Thank you, La Cima IAP, for being such an important part of my story. I am very happy to have been part of the fourth generation.
