Today, we want to share with you the results of the inspiring Community Project carried out by our student Dalia, who is about to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational and Curricular Management. With a deep vocation for service, Dalia set out to teach basic English to the girls and boys in her community of San Sebastián Tenochtitlan, Hidalgo.
Despite logistical challenges—such as not receiving a response from authorities to use a community classroom—her commitment was stronger. She adapted a space in her family home and opened its doors to 10 children between 3 and 10 years of age.
To ensure that everyone learned in a fun and nurturing environment, Dalia created fully personalized teaching materials based on the age and needs of each student.
Her mission was clear: to promote educational opportunities from early childhood, recognizing that mastering a “universal” language such as English is vital for academic and professional development in today’s Mexico. Dalia helped the children develop the four basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
We are extremely proud of your resilience, empathy, and leadership, Dalia. Thank you for not giving up and for being a true agent of change in your community!
