This year, The Gibson Soto Foundation has contributed to my continuing my university studies in a successful way with housing, food, and a full scholarship. The human development workshops have been very useful to me since I entered the program since they help me see things in a different way and understand others and my environment in a more conscious and less critical way, as well as having at all times lateral thinking, which is one of the topics that we have been constantly repeating since acquiring this skill to apply it on a daily basis is very helpful and gives you an advantage. The support they have given me for school, talking about school supplies or re-enrollments, is also quite helpful since my degree is a bit expensive, and having the support of The Gibson Soto Foundation encourages me to get the most out of my studies.
English classes are another important point in my education. Since I have been at The Gibson Soto Foundation, I have considerably advanced my level in this language. It gives me joy to identify how I increasingly understand conventional conversations or scientific articles. I know that for the future and to get better positions, English is essential, which is why I like to learn it every day and see that there is significant progress in myself.
Having a place to live while I study at university is a great help since I am not originally from the city of Querétaro. I decided to study in the city because only here is the career that I chose and that I have dreamed of for so long, and The Gibson Soto Foundation is helping me have this possibility of fulfilling my dream.
All the support they give me is important because, as I mentioned before, it is not only economic, but they are also tools that will help me have better performance and job opportunities and be fulfilled and happy. At The Gibson Soto Foundation, we had a public speaking workshop, which gave me more confidence in myself and the tools to present a topic without so much nervousness. This is an important anecdote since I am a person who finds it very difficult to speak in front of a considerable group of people. Since taking this workshop, my confidence has increased, and I feel freer when expressing my ideas in front of others.
In conclusion, having the opportunity to be part of this institution makes me very happy. Having found them and that today I am fulfilling the goals that I once set for myself fills me with joy since it is very important to me. I have my hopes pinned on The Gibson Soto Foundation.
