Our students participated in the workshop “The Art of Public Speaking,” a highly practical and interactive experience in which each participant had the opportunity to practice and strengthen their communication skills in a safe and empathetic environment.
Thanks to the guidance and extensive experience of our facilitator, Inés Jácome, our students learned and put into practice essential techniques to:
Control and channel nerves before and during a presentation.
Command the space and stand with ease in front of an audience.
Capture and hold the audience’s attention.
Modulate the voice, paying attention to rhythm, intonation, and clarity.
Feel confident and project confidence when expressing their ideas.
Knowing how to speak in public goes far beyond delivering a good presentation: it is a key tool for developing self-esteem. When a young woman discovers her own value and the value of her message, and learns to express it without fear, she strengthens her confidence and recognizes her ability to be heard.
In personal life, this skill allows them to express their convictions with clarity and empathy; in the professional sphere, it gives them the boost they need to stand out in university classrooms, excel in job interviews, and position themselves as leaders in the workplace.
We are deeply grateful to Inés Jácome for sharing her experience and inspiring our students to overcome their fears, take the stage, and make their voices shine with their own light.
