María José has successfully completed her Community Project, “Exploring Learning,” in her home community of El Pie, Querétaro. Her goal was to address math learning gaps among 5th and 6th grade students at Francisco Villa School through dynamic and engaging methods such as chess, math bingo, and logic puzzles.
María José’s project is a powerful testament to our Fundation´s Multiplier Effect. For us, our students’ education extends far beyond the university classroom. As part of our comprehensive model, each student receives training in the Logical Framework Approach to design and implement an initiative that generates tangible, positive change in their home communities.
This is not simply a requirement; it is the embodiment of our mission. It shows us how knowledge becomes action, how empathy transforms into leadership, and how a talented young woman becomes an unstoppable agent of change. Through this process, our students not only apply their professional skills but also strengthen their confidence, management abilities, and a deep sense of social responsibility.
María José’s work reminds us that breaking the cycle of poverty is not only about earning a degree and securing a job; it is about empowering a new generation of women leaders who return to their roots to build, heal, and transform.
Congratulations, Majo, for reminding us that the most authentic leadership comes through service to others!
