Being part of The Gibson Soto Foundation represents an opportunity for me to be able to fulfill my goals and achieve a bachelor’s degree in psychology, as well as being a figure of impact in my community and being able to support my family. Being accepted has made me reflect that if I persist and do not give up in any situation that comes my way in life, I can get to wherever I set my mind to, always believing in myself and that when I feel that one door is closing, I will be able to knock on another, the key is never to stop insisting. The institution has motivated, encouraged, and supported me within its areas so that I can strengthen myself by developing skills that allow me to face the social and work world through its human development workshops.
With its help, I have managed to understand the things I can improve through the feedback I am given week by week. It has taught me that to enjoy the places I find myself, I have to learn to let go without stopping, being grateful that there are no bad experiences because they all teach us something.
Today, I can say that the support of The Gibson Soto Foundation has undoubtedly transformed my life since the transformation began from day one, as it has sought and implemented strategies so that my stay within the institution is fruitful, making me feel comfortable and part of her. He cares about my health, my attitudes, and my coexistence with others, something that I value and appreciate.
With this opportunity, I have managed to rethink many things in which I had felt limited, and I believe it is time to return and apply. The institution has encouraged me to generate greater awareness regarding my self-care, to create healthier habits with respect to rest and eating, and, above all, to be the one who self-manages my time to have greater performance within my activities, both school and work. As well as the importance of co-responsibility inside and outside of it.
Over the course of these months, the institution has not only given me a home, scholarship, and development workshops that have been crucial in my training, but it has also given me another family where I can meet new colleagues and learn from them. I believe that the people and situations that arise in my life are because I have to learn something new from them.
I give thanks for the opportunity, and I appreciate the closeness that the institution has both with me and with my colleagues. I appreciate the openness and flexibility it has so that I can go every weekend to visit my family. It is very important for me to continue preserving my scholarship, which is why I strive every day to absorb and apply what the institution provides me.
